Pull
Pull (or creep pull) is a core mechanic in Dota where a player — usually the support — pulls neutral creeps toward the allied lane creeps, causing them to fight. This slows down the enemy lane push, disrupts their farming rhythm, and helps control the lane experience.
The term "pull" comes directly from the action of pulling the neutral creeps. In Russian, both “pull” and its local equivalent “otvod” are used interchangeably.
Pulling is an important part of early-game microplay. There are single and double pulls, as well as “stack-pulls” — where the neutral camp is stacked first and then pulled for a bigger impact.
